"She Loved Country Music"- Producer Rita Coburn-Whack Recalls Working With Maya Angelou

Here is an outtake of a source interview with Producer Rita Coburn-Whack about her new documentary (co-produced with Bob Hercules) And Still I Rise. I added some music and images to give a better idea of what I think the mood was like working with Maya Angelou at her home as Coburn-Whack did for years. Initially, she worked with Dr. Angelou producer of Maya Angelou's program on Oprah Winfrey's channel on Sirius and then beginning in 2011, doing the work for what would eventually become the documentary. It premiered on PBS as part of the PBS American Masters series February 2017. And Still I Rise is the first documentary about Maya Angelou.
