The list of nominees celebrating Broadway’s best and brightest of the past year is out! This year’s list definitely doesn’t display the level of diversity of last year’s but playwright Lynn Nottage’s play Sweat has been nominated for the biggest award of the evening, Best Play. Michelle Wilson, one of the leads actresses in Sweat has been nominated in the Best Actress Category. August Wilson’s Jitney has been nominated for a number of awards in the areas of set design and costume as well as Best Revival of a Play and John Douglas Thomson has been nominated for Best Actor.
