CC Jitters with its familiar huge windows and red stuffed leather chairs is Central City residents' favorite place to get their caffeine fix. The capacious and somewhat ritzy coffee den is also a focal point of community in Central City where humans and metahumans alike congregate to make memories and mischief, respectively, over macchiatoes. It is the location of the show's very first kiss.
CC Jitters holds a special place for Central City's favorite journalist, Iris West. Recently, they named one of their coffees after her lifelong BFF and soon to be husband, The Flash (aka Barry Allen). She had a waitressing gig there while finishing up college. I like to think that’s where she got the got the dough to help pay for her textbooks, pay the dentist to maintain her amazing smile (more on that below), and buy the laptop that she used to start her famous blog that launched her distinguished journalism career.
Here are some key Iris West CC Jitter moments.
Barry rushes from Star Labs to see Iris as soon as he recovers from his injuries from the particle accelerator explosion. The look of sheer relief mixed with joy on her face in that moment, is iconic. The Flash Season 1 Episode 1 aka The Flash Pilot

2. Barry finds out Iris is Eddie’s girlfriend when he goes to visit her at work and catches them kissing. He was visibly deflated but gamely listened to her talk about how his being in a coma is what brought she and Eddie together. The Flash season 1 Episode 1 aka The Flash Pilot

3. Barry and Iris make up after their first major on-screen fight at CC Jitters in the after hours. It is also at CC Jitters that Iris helps Barry come up with his superhero name, The Flash Season 1 Episode 6 aka The Flash Begins

4. CC Jitters plays quite heavily in episode eight. Iris is delighted to meet Oliver Queen and find out that he is friends with Barry. The Flash and Iris continue to meet there after hours and lightly flirt with each other. On one occasion, when Flash tells Iris he has to run (meaning leave to take care of some situation) she playfully replies “That’s what you tell all the girls.” Flash replies, “What other girls?” awww...Sadly,it’s also at Jitters in this episode that Iris, after seeing Flash, seriously impacted by metahuman Roy G Bivolo, going into rages and violently attacking Eddie, cuts ties with The Flash. One of the cutest parts of the episode is the very beginning as Barry introduces the theme for the show, emotions. Narrating in voiceover, he zips through the Central City talking about having “the feels”. He ends up at Jitters, watching Iris-who presumably gives him so many feels- at work. His narration ends with him declaring, with regard to Iris, “But then I see her smile. Man, that can’t be science!” The Flash Season 1 Episode 8 aka Flash vs. Arrow

5. When Barry accidentally travels back in time by after Iris professes her love for him, he doesn’t realize that her memory of the previous day has been erased. He breaks up with Linda Park and meets Iris at CC Jitters to tell her that since she has feelings for him, they should make a go of it. Iris, having lost all memory of the encounter and completely out of touch with her emotions, looks at Barry like he is crazy and tells him she loves Eddie and he needs to knock it off. Barry is devastated at her rebuff. The Flash Season 1 Episode 16 aka Rogue Time

6. Iris finds a depressed Barry at a completely demolished CC Jitters. He his burdened with guilt for causing the singularity that led to the damage to CC Jitters and Central City. She tells him he needs to get over his guilt, focus on the good he does, and get back in the game. It ends up being one of the crucial moments that helps Barry move on after dealing with Eobard Thawne and all the pain and damage he caused. The Flash Season 2 Episode 1 aka The Man Who Saved Central City

7. Candice Patton does some of her best work in her scenes with Vanessa Williams who plays Iris’ mother Francine West. Most of their scenes take place at CC Jitters during the story arc in which she meets her mother and in a later episode, confronts her for keeping the fact that she has a son, away from Joe. The Flash Season 2 Episodes 4 aka The Fury of Firestorm

8. In the Flashpoint episode, we meet Iris in the alternate timeline, working on her laptop with intense focus. Barry in an effort to get her attention, first swiped her wallet and then present it to her as if he just found it on the floor. He asks her out and she accepts thus initiating their romance in the Flashpoint timeline. The Flash Season 3 Episode 1 aka Flashpoint

9. Though her death appears to be imminent, Iris stays protectively close to Barry who gets amnesia in this episode. He remembers nothing about himself or his life. At Jitters (as it's called for short), Iris shares old pictures and memories with him. In the process, Barry becomes a joyous, peaceful, energetic version of himself. To Iris, that is the Barry she knew and loved as her best friend all of her life. Over the course of the episode, she is saddened to realize how much of a toll constantly battling evil and worrying about protecting Central City has taken in him; not to mention the multiple tragedies he has endured in his personal life. Iris starts to positively beam with happiness to have this experience and is so happy to be with the old Barry. It is abundantly clear how much she loves him! However, it makes her question the value of curing his amnesia. This touching moment between Barry and Iris gets a whole video! The Flash Season 3 Episode 21 aka Cause and Effect
