RECAP: Midnight Texas. “The Virgin Sacrifice” Season 1 Episode 10

Bobo uses the situation to his advantage… We learn that there is more to Madonna than meets the eye and get a clue as to how she paid for the diner... A wedding!

Fiji has run away with the wraith of Jeremy to go and sacrifice herself to Colconnar. She is back in Midnight.

The gang are in the RV determined to find and rescue Fiji. Manfred tells them that

the Shaman told him the first of the demons will rise on the night of the blood moon. He also said he knows how to kill Colconnar. They will rescue Fiji and kill Colconnar and close the portal to hell.

They also have the wraiths- spirit manifestations of evil that work to protect Colconnar- to worry about. They will kill them with consecrated weapons.

Creek presses Manfred about how he intends to kill Colconnar but he remains close-mouthed about it.

Jeremy tells Fiji she needs to prepare for Colconnar. He tells that she looks “unworthy”. How, rude… This “Jeremy” is Jeremy in face only!

The Midnighters show up at Midnight determined to rescue Fiji. They start by shooting the wraiths with the consecrated weapons. They go to Fiji and she is hysterical with fear for their safety and insists that they leave town. A random wraith appears and hurts Olivia. Bobo brings her into Fiji’s house.

The rest of the gang go to the pawn shop looking for objects tethered to evil spirits. Manfred will use their evil power to defeat Colconnar.

Fiji tries to heal Olivia. She is unsure of her power but Bobo tells her to try. She administers a potion to Olivia. Manfred calls at this time and Olivia tells Creek that she shouldn’t tell Manfred that she has been hurt. He tells Creek that he loves her. She asks him if he only said it because he doesn’t think he will survive this. She tells him she loves him too. Creek takes Olivia to the hospital. On the way to the hospital Olivia tells Creek to tell Lem that she would have come back to him. Obviously she thinks she is knocking on death’s door.

Lem finds objects tethered to a demon and brings them to Manfred. He tells Lem he plans to let evil “hijack” him. Lem offers him his blood to make him stronger. Manfred says no, thanks! The Rev offers to make the church safe for Lem to use as sanctuary.

Fiji tells Bobo she is going to make her powers destructive so that she can kill him. She is going to sleep with Colconnar and use that to Colconnar. She tells Bobo about killing Jerem with her love (lust). I mean yes, she loved Jeremy but it was the heat of her lust that killed him. She will take all her anger and hurt and do to him what she did to Jeremy. Bobo reminds her this guy is a demon from hell not some sweet first love. He doesn’t think her plan will work but her honesty has given him an angle err… idea. He offers to dick Fiji down himself so that she is no longer

“pure” and Colconnar won’t want her anymore. He admits her he has wanted to do it since the first time she walked in his pawn shop but he thought she was out of his league. Game, set, match! She falls for it. She tells him this was not how she thought it would go down their first time (duh!). He grabs her and they start to kiss. She starts kissing him but keeps up incessant, nervous babbling asking Bobo if he is scared- killing the mood. Bobo cuts things short and moves in for the kill.

Rev locks himself in the basement since it is a full moon and he will turn.

Manfred allows the demons to possess him and tells them he wants to make a deal. Colconnar seems to sense what the hell is happening up in Fiji’s… house... and decides to speed his own plans up. He tells Manfred to bring Fiji to him and of course Manfred tells him to go fuck not Fiji, but himself. Colconnar knocks Manfred out and summons the wraiths. Joe steps in as Manfred lies on the ground unconscious. Colconnar rises and starts wrecking shit. Manfred comes to and keeps channeling evil to continue fighting Colconnar. He literally fights fire with fire. They are both shooting flames from their palms and Manfred’s fighting so hard his eyes bleed. Manfred wins and Colconnar disappears. Manfred expels the demons from himself. There is black smoke and gross They are safe now. Bobo tells Lem about Olivia.

Madonna shows up at the hospital and Creek tells her Olivia is really bad off and may not make it. Lem and Manfred show up. Lem makes Olivia feed from him to heal her.

Madonna secretly calls someone off screen, presumably Olivia’s father (who Olivia hates), to give him an update on her condition. She sounds a little sinister though. Say it ain’t fuckin so Madonna.

Olivia gets better and Lem and Olivia get married! Yay!! She tells him most men like her dad made her feel cold and dead but Lem made her feel human again. Aawww...

A rumbling wakes everyone up the next day and perky, flame haired- Melanie Pratt introduces herself as being from a “hospitality company” that has come to town to renovate the old hotel and “revitalize” Midnight. As she says this, Manfred is hearing and seeing all the ghosts stirring in the hotel. Doesn’t seem like demolishing it will be a good idea.
